A NEBRASKA MAN WILL REMAIN IN JAIL WHILE MOTIONS ARE FILED IN RED WILLOW COUNTY DISTRICT COURT.  18 YEAR OLD STATHIS KIRKPATRICK OF BARTLEY NEBRASKA HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH MURDER IN THE FIRST DEGREE, USE OF A DEADLY WEAPON TO COMMIT A FELONY, TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE AND UNLAWFUL BURIAL, ALL FELONIES.  THOSE CHARGES ARE IN CONNECTION WITH ALLEGED INCIDENTS ON JANUARY 21ST THAT RESULTED IN THE DEATH OF 14 YEAR OLD KAILEE CLAPP OF MCCOOK.     KIRKPATRICK WAIVED HIS RIGHT TO A PRELIMINARY HEARING IN MAGISTRATE COURT.  HE ENTERED A “NOT GUILTY” PLEA TO ALL FOUR FELONY COUNTS.  A MOTION FOR A PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION WAS PRESENTED BY HIS ATTORNEY DEREK MITCHELL.  THE JUDGE TOOK THE MOTION UNDER ADVISEMENT, DIRECTING BOTH SIDES TO PRESENT ARGUMENTS BY WRITTEN BRIEFS, DUE MARCH 17TH.  FURTHER MOTIONS ARE TO BE FILED BY JUNE 13TH.    KIRKPATRICK’S NEXT APPEARANCE DATE IS FOR A MOTIONS HEARING ON JULY 11TH AT 9 A.M.  KIRKPATRICK CONTINUES TO BE HELD WITHOUT BOND.
