EVERY TWO SECONDS, SOMEONE IN AMERICA NEEDS BLOOD.  THE SUMMER BLOOD SUPPLY IS OFTEN AT CRITICALLY LOW LEVELS, WHICH COULD PUT HOSPITAL PATIENTS’ LIVES IN JEOPARDY.  EVERY DAY, 500 BLOOD DONORS ARE NEEDED IN KANSAS AND NORTHERN OKLAHOMA FOR HOSPITAL PATIENTS.  IMAGINE WHAT A DISASTER IT WOULD BE TO HAVE NOT BLOOD ON HOSPITAL SHELVES FOR THOSE IN NEED.  YOU CAN HELP SAVE LIVES BY ATTENDING THE AMERICAN RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE TOMORROW AT THE NATIONAL GUARD ARMORY IN NORTON.  ALL BLOOD TYPES ARE NEEDED TO ENSURE THE RED CORSS MAINTAINS AN ADEGUATE BLOOD SUPPLY.  A BLOOD DONOR CARD OR DRIVER’S LICENSE OR TWO OTHER FORMS OF IDENTIFICATION ARE REQUIRED AT CHECK IN.  DONORS MUST BE IN GENERAL GOOD HEALTH, WEIGH AT LEAST 110 POUNDS AND BE AT LEAST 17 YEARS OF AGE.  16 YEAR OLDS CAN DONATE WITH A COMPLETED PARENTAL CONSENT FORM.  NEW HEIGHT AND WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS APPLY TO DONORS YOUNGER THAN 19.  THE ENXT RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE WILL BE TOMORROW FROM NOON TILL SIX AT THE NATIONAL GUARD ARMORY, NORTH HIGHWAY 283 IN NORTON
