A Washington Kansas woman will be sentenced for two trafficking charges in August in Norton County District Court.
Jennifer Layman was originally charged with three counts of traffic in contraband into a correctional facility in connection with an alleged April 14th incident. Those charges are level five and six non-person felonies.
In a plea agreement, Layman pled guilty to two counts of attempted traffic in contraband, level 7 non-person felonies.
One other trafficking charge was dismissed. A pre-sentence report and criminal history will be done. Layman will be sentenced at the August 8th motion day, according to Norton County Attorney Doug Sebelius. She is currently out of jail on bond.
