A Norton man has been sentenced in a plea agreement for a drug related charge. NICHOLAS PHILLIPS HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH TWO COUNTS OF POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, and PEDESTRIAN UNDER THE INFLUENCE. THOSE CHARGES ARE IN CONNECTION with AN ALLEGED SEPTEMBER 20TH INCIDENT. In a plea agreement, Phillips pled guilty to one count of possession of marijuana and the other charges were dismissed. Phillips was sentenced to six months in jail, suspended to 6 months of supervised probation with court services. He was assessed court costs of 160, supervision fee of 60, booking fee of 45, drug and alcohol fee of 35. PHILLIPS must also pay his court appointed attorney fees, according to Magistrate Judge Debra Anderson.
