Business Incubator has a tenant

Elements of Massage will open their Norton location on February 1st in the Norton Business Incubator located at 104 S State Street.  Ceena Owens, owner, is a Registered Nurse as well as a Registered Massage Therapist. Working with her will be Amber Nuttycomb who is a Certified Massage Therapist. The first Business Incubator program was started in New York in 1959, and the concept really expanded in the 1980s. Several other counties in our region also have Business Incubators. These incubators are designed to promote the successful development of entrepreneurial companies through a variety of business support resources and services. Incubators vary in the way they deliver their services, but their goal is always to increase the likelihood that a start-up company will stay in business for the long term.  The incubator building in Norton was the prior Chamber of Commerce office and is now in the process of renovation. Repairs were made to the back exterior last fall, work on the interior has been started and a fresh coat of paint will complete the transformation. Norton City/County Economic Development is excited to have incubator space available for a start-up business and to be able to provide whatever assistance is needed.
