AN ALMENA MAN WAS SENTENCED FOR A FORGERY CHARGE IN NORTON COUNTY DISTRICT COURT.  JESSE LENTZ PLED GUILTY TO ONE COUNT OF FORGERY IN CONNECTION WITH AN ALLEGED SEPTEMBER 20TH INCIDENT.  ONE COUNT OF CONSPIRACY WAS DISMISSED.  THAT CHARGE WAS IN CONNECTION WITH A 75 DOLLAR CHECK INVOLVING THE ALMENA STATE BANK.  LENTZ WAS SENTENCED TO 12 MONTHS WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS, WHICH HE MUST SERVE, DUE TO THIS FORGERY CHARGE COMMITTED DURING HIS FELONY SUPERVISION FOR A PREVIOUS CASE.  HE WAS ORDERED TO 12 MONTHS OF POST RELEASE SUPERVISION.  LENTZ WAS GIVEN CREDIT FOR 102 DAYS IN THE COUNTY JAIL.  HE WAS ASSESSED COURT COSTS OF 195, FINE OF 75 DOLLARS AND A BOOKING FEE OF 45, ACCORDING TO NORTON COUNTY ATTORNEY DOUG SEBELIUS.
