A Norton man was sentenced for two of three charges against him in Norton County Magistrate Court. Mitch Kachel was charged with one count each of criminal trespass, criminal damage to property, and interfering with law enforcement. Those charges are in connection with the alleged September 18th break in in Edmond. In a plea agreement, Kachel pled guilty to criminal trespass and criminal damage to property. the interference charge was dismissed. He was sentenced to six months on each charge suspended to six months probation with court services. He was assessed court costs of 160, restitution of 100 dollars, supervision fee of 60, booking fee of 45, drug testing fee of 35 and court appointed attorney fees. The fine was waived. Kachel must have an alcohol evaluation and follow the recommendations, according to Magistrate Judge Debra Anderson.
