A.T.V. Accident

A LENORA MAN WAS INJURED IN AN A.T.V. ACCIDENT SUNDAY NIGHT SOUTH OF NORTON.  A YAMAHA GRIZZLY, DRIVEN BY ALVIN HARDY OF LENORA WAS BEING USED TO GET CATTLE BACK INTO THE FENCE.  HARDY APPLIED THE BRAKES AND AT THE SAME TIME, THE DOG THAT WAS ONE THE BACK OF THE A.T.V. GOT THROWN FORWARD.  HARDY TRIED TO CATCH THE DOG AND ACCIDENTALLY APPLIED THE BRAKES HARDER.  HE WAS THROWN OVER THE HANDLE BARS ONTO THE PAVEMENT CAUSING THE INJURIES.  THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED AT 6:17 SUNDAY NIGHT AT THE INTERSECTION OF U.S. HIGHWAY 283 AND K-9 SOUTH OF NORTON, ACCORDING TO THE NORTON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE.  HARDY WAS TAKEN TO THE NORTON COUNTY HOSPITAL WHERE HE WAS TREATED AND RELEASED, ACCORDING TO HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATOR RICH MILLER.
