An Oberlin man remains in the Decatur County Jail on charges of homicide and battery from last fall. 25-YEAR-OLD Dylan Robert Coryell, Jr, of Oberlin, was charged with first-degree premeditated homicide and an alternative count of felony murder in connection with the death of 22 year old Corey Ryan Cook, also of Oberlin. Coryell was also charged with aggravated battery and aggravated burglary. Coryell was arrested on October 16th, and now is in custody. Bond has been set at $500,000 cash or surety. The court found probable cause on all charges at his preliminary hearing. Coryell will be arraigned in Decatur County District Court in front of District Judge John Bremer March 26th at 9:30. The case is being prosecuted by assistant attorney general Nicole Romine.
