Engel to Retire

A LONG TIME EMPLOYEE OF THE KANSAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION WILL OFFICIALLY RETIRE AT THE END OF NEXT WEEK.  JOHN ENGEL, DISTRICT THREE SHOP SUPERVISOR, WILL OFFICIALLY RETIRE FROM HIS POSITION WITH THE KDOT ON MARCH 16TH AFTER ALMOST 33 YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE STATE OF KANSAS.  ENGEL OVERSEES THE EQUIPMENT MECHANICS AND THE DISTRICT SHOP IN NORTON.  ENGEL BEGAN HIS CAREER WITH THE KDOT IN 1979 AS AN EQUIPMENT OPERATOR ONE IN THE NORTON SUB AREA.  HIS RETIREMENT PLANS INCLUDE HUNTING, FISHING, FARMING, CAMPING AND PROSPECTING FOR GOLD.  THE KANSAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SALUTES JOHN ENGEL AND WISHES HIM WELL IN HIS RETIREMENT.
