Tech Scholarships

THE DANE G. HANSEN FOUNDATION OF LOGAN HAS NAMED 260 HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS FROM 59 NORTHWEST KANSAS SCHOOLS AS WINNERS IN ITS 37TH ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION.  FOR STUDENTS INTERESTED IN A CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS, THE FOUNDATION OFFERED 100 AWARDS OF 2000 DOLLARS EACH.  WINNERS OF THE CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS ARE MEGAN WENTZ OF DECATUR COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL, RYAN KENNEDY AND LACEY RADCLIFFE OF HILL CITY, KYLE FRASIER, ANTHONY IMM, TRAVIS STAPEL AND SARA WALLGREN OF PHILLIPSBURG AND TRACY ARCHER OF LOGAN.    IN SELECTING THE AWARD WINNERS, THE SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE CONSIDERED PROFICIENCY IN VERBAL AND WRITING SKILLS.  OTHER IMPORTANT FACTORS WERE ACADEMIC RECORDS, TEST SCORES, AND COMMUNITY SERVICE IN, WHICH THE STUDENT MAY HAVE PARTICIPATED.
