AN INMATE OF THE NORTON CORRECTIONAL FACILITY WILL HAVE A JURY TRIAL IN AUGUST IN NORTON COUNTY DISTRICT COURT.  THOMAS ANDREW WILHITE WAS CHARGED WITH ONE COUNT EACH OF TRAFFIC IN A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, TRAFFIC IN CONTRABAND-TOBACCO, AND POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE.  THOSE CHARGES ARE IN CONNECTION WITH AN ALLEGED OCTOBER 9TH INCIDENT.  WILHITE MADE HIS FIRST APPEARANCE JANUARY 20TH.  AT HIS ARRAIGNMENT HE STOOD MUTE TO THE CHARGES.  A NOT GUILTY PLEA WAS ENTERED FOR HIM.  HIS JURY TRIAL WILL BE AUGUST FIRST AND SECOND, ACCORDING TO NORTON COUNTY ATTORNEY DOUG SEBELIUS.
