PREGNANT, BREASTFEEDING AND NEW MOTHERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THE SPECIAL SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION PROGRAM FOR WOMEN, INFANTS, AND CHILDREN OR THE WIC PROGRAM AT THE NORTON COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT. WOMEN WHO ARE FINDING IT DIFFICULT TO AFFORD THE FOODS NEEDED FOR GOOD HEALTH MAY QUALIFY FOR THE PROGRAM. THE WIC PROGRAM PROVIDES FOOD VOUCHERS AND NUTRITION EDUCATION TO THE PARTICIPANTS. A WIC APPLICANT MUST LIVE IN KANSAS, DEMONSTRATE A NUTRITIONAL RISK AS DETERMINED BY A HEALTH PROFESSIONAL AND BE INCOME ELIGIBLE.
