AN OBERLIN MAN WILL HAVE A TRIAL AT THE END OF OBERLIN FOR CHARGES FROM THE DEATH OF ANOTHER OBERLIN MAN.  25-YEAR-OLD DYLAN ROBERT CORYELL, JR, OF OBERLIN, WAS CHARGED WITH FIRST-DEGREE PREMEDITATED HOMICIDE AND AN ALTERNATIVE COUNT OF FELONY MURDER IN CONNECTION WITH THE DEATH OF 22 YEAR OLD COREY RYAN COOK, ALSO OF OBERLIN. CORYELL WAS ALSO CHARGED WITH AGGRAVATED BATTERY AND AGGRAVATED BURGLARY.  CORYELL WAS ARRESTED ON OCTOBER 16TH IN OBERLIN. BOND HAS BEEN SET AT $500,000 CASH OR SURETY.   AT HIS ARRAIGNMENT MONDAY, CORYELL STOOD MUTE TO THE CHARGES.  A NOT GUILTY PLEA WAS ENTERED FOR HIM.  A PRE-TRIAL MOTION HEARING HAS BEEN SET FOR JUNE FOURTH AT NINE AND ANOTHER ONE ON AUGUST THIRD AT ONE.  THERE IS ALSO A PRE-TRIAL CONFERENCE SET FOR JULY FIFTH AT 1:30.  CORYELL’S TRIAL HAS BEEN SET FOR AUGUST 20TH THROUGH THE 31ST IN DECATUR COUNTY DISTRICT COURT, ACCORDING TO THE KANSAS ATTORNEY GENERAL’S OFFICE.
