ONLY 8 PER CENT OF VOTERS WENT TO THE POLLS TO VOTE FOR NORTON CITY COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVES YESTERDAY.  IN WARD ONE, HARRIETT GILL RECEIVED 43 VOTES.  IN WARD TWO, DONNA FOLEY RECEIVED 49 VOTES AND IN WARD THREE, RONNIE BRIERY RECEIVED 46 VOTES.  IN LENORA, 19 PER CENT OF VOTERS WENT TO THE POLLS.  THERE WERE THREE POSITIONS OPEN ON THE LENORA CITY COUNCIL.  THE THREE WITH THE MOST VOTES WILL FILL THOSE SEATS.  RESULTS ARE ANDREA DAY 32 VOTES, INCUMBENT DEBORAH ANDERSON 26 VOTES, INCUMBENT PHILLIP RULE 23 VOTES, AND CARLA BURCH RECEIVED 12 VOTES.  THESE BALLOT RESULTS WILL BE CANVASSED BY THE NORTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AT THEIR NEXT MEETING MONDAY.
