National Library Week

THIS WEEK IS A TIME TO CELEBRATE READING AND SO MUCH MORE THAT CAN BE FOUND AT OUR PUBLIC LIBRARIES. THE COMMUNITY WILL SEE SOMETHING NEW ON THE LIBRARY’S WEBSITE WWW.NORTONPUBLICLIBRARY.ORG . THROUGH NORTHWEST KANSAS LIBRARY SYSTEM WE NOW HAVE GALE REFERENCE DATABASES AVAILABLE. ANYONE CAN TYPE IN A SUBJECT TO SEARCH AND LOTS OF CURRENT AND CREDIBLE INFORMATION WILL BE AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY. THIS INCLUDES MEDICAL, HISTORICAL, AND SCIENTIFIC DATABASES.
THE LIBRARY ALSO PROVIDES FREE ENTERTAINMENT FOR THE CHILDREN. ON WEDNESDAYS WE HAVE CHESS CLUB WITH JARED SHELTON AVAILABLE. THURSDAYS IS STORY TIME DAY ALL YEAR AROUND AT 10:30 A.M. THE BIGGEST PROGRAM OF THE YEAR IS SUMMER READING. MANY WONDERFUL PROGRAMS BY LOCAL VOLUNTEERS AND SPECIAL PROGRAMS FROM AROUND THE STATE ARE PLANNED FOR THE SUMMER. CELEBRATE NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK THIS WEEK AT THE NORTON PUBLIC LIBRARY.
