A NORCATUR MAN WILL BE SENTENCED LATER FOR THREE OF SEVEN CHARGES AGAINST HIM IN NORTON COUNTY DISTRICT COURT.  DENNIS WOOD WAS CHARGED WITH ONE COUNT OF POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA AND 2ND OFFENSE DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE.  THOSE CHARGES ARE IN CONNECTION WITH AN ALLEGED FEBRUARY 25TH INCIDENT.  HE HAS ALSO BEEN CHARGED WITH ANOTHER COUNT OF FELONY POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, 1ST OFFENSE DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE, NO PROOF OF INSURANCE, NO PARK OR RECREATION MOTOR VEHICLE PERMIT, AND OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE OFF OF THE ROADWAY IN THE STATE PARK.  THOSE CHARGES ARE IN CONNECTION WITH AN ALLEGED AUGUST 27TH INCIDENT.  IN A PLEA AGREEMENT, WOOD PLED GUILTY TO ONE COUNT OF FELONY POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, SECOND OFFENSE D.U.I. AND NO PARK OR RECREATION MOTOR VEHICLE PERMIT.  THE OTHER CHARGES WERE DISMISSED.  A PRE-SENTENCE REPORT AND CRIMINAL HISTORY WILL BE DONE.  WOOD WILL BE SENTENCED AT THE AUGUST 13TH MOTION DAY, ACCORDING TO NORTON COUNTY ATTORNEY DOUG SEBELIUS.  WOOD REMAINS OUT OF JAIL ON BOND.
