A FORMER ALMENA RESIDENT WILL SPEND THE NEXT SEVERAL MONTHS IN THE NORTON COUNTY JAIL FOR VIOLATION HIS PROBATION.  IN A PLEA AGREEMENT, DARRELL MOORE PLED TO D.U.I., LEAVING THE SCENE OF AN INJURY ACCIDENT, NO LIABILITY INSURANCE AND DRIVING ON A REVOKED LICENSE WILL BEING A HABITUAL VIOLATOR.  THE OTHER CHARGES WERE WITHDRAWN.  HE WAS SENTENCED TO 12 MONTHS IN THE COUNTY JAIL ON THE DUI CHARGE PLUS CONCURRENT 12-MONTH SENTENCES FOR LEAVING THE SCENE, AND DRIVING WHILE A HABITUAL VIOLATOR.  HE ADMITTED TO A VIOLATION OF HIS PROBATION AND JUDGE PRESTON PRATT REVOKED HIS PROBATION.  HE WAS REMANDED INTO THE CUSTODY OF THE NORTON COUNTY SHERIFF TO SERVE THE REMAINDER OF HIS ONE YEAR IN JAIL SENTENCE, ACCORDING TO NORTON COUNTY ATTORNEY DOUG SEBELIUS.  HE WILL BE GIVEN CREDIT FOR THE 74 DAYS ALREADY SERVED, ACCORDING TO SEBELIUS.
