YESTERDAY WAS THE FIRST DAY THAT KIDS AND ADULTS ALIKE CAN SIGN UP FOR THE SUMMER READING PROGRAM.  DREAM BIG IS THE THEME.  THERE ARE SPECIAL PROGRAMS THAT WILL BE COMING UP THIS SUMMER.  THERE WILL BE SPECIAL STORY TIMES DURING THE SUMMER.  THERE ARE WONDERFUL LOCAL VOLUNTEERS THAT WILL PRESENT PROGRAMS AND ALSO PROGRAMS PRESENTED BY THE ROLLING HILLS WILDLIFE ADVENTURE, KEVIN MANNING, AN ASTROPHYSICIST WHO WILL TELL ABOUT THE STARS AND SPACE, AND  RANDY SAUER,  A MUSICIAN WHO PROMOTES READING THROUGH ENTERTAINING SONGS. THE FIRST SPECIAL STORY TIME FOR THE SUMMER WILL BE ON THURSDAY. AT 10:30 IN THE MORNING STORY TIME IS FOR CHILDREN PRESCHOOL THROUGH 1ST GRADE. AT 2:00 IN THE AFTERNOON STORY TIME IS FOR CHILDREN 2ND THROUGH 6TH GRADES. AT 7:30 P.M. THERE IS FUN NIGHT FOR TEENS JUNIOR HIGH THROUGH 12TH GRADE.  SCHEDULES FOR THE SUMMER ACTIVITIES AND THE READING REQUIREMENTS ARE AVAILABLE ONLINE AT WWW.NORTONPUBLICLIBRARY.COM OR AT THE LIBRARY. EVERYONE IS ENCOURAGED TO BE A PART OF THE DREAM BIG- READ SUMMER READING PROGRAM.
