KHP Accident

A NORTON WOMAN WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL AFTER A THREE-VEHICLE ACCIDENT YESTERDAY MORNING EAST OF NORTON.  A 2007 CHEVY PASSENGER CAR, DRIVEN BY MERIDEL KINDALL OF NORTON WAS STOPPED AT THE BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION STOPLIGHT ON HIGHWAY 36 AND SHE WAS UNCONSCIOUS.  A 2005 GMC SIERRA WENT AROUND THE CAR SINCE IT WAS NOT MOVING WHEN THE STOPLIGHT TURNED GREEN.  THE DRIVER GOT OUT TO CHECK ON KINDALL.  AT THAT TIME, KINDALL WOKE UP AND DROVE FORWARD, RUNNING INTO THE BACK OF THE GMC.  SHE THEN BACKED UP AND TRIED GOING AROUND THE GMC AND SIDESWIPED IT.  KINDALL STOPPED AFTER HITTING THE GMC AND THEN A 1996 CHEVY, STOPPED IN FRONT OF KINDALL TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON.  KINDALL THEN RAMMED INTO THE REAR OF THE THIRD VEHICLE.  KINDALL WAS TAKEN TO THE NORTON COUNTY HOSPITAL.  THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED AT SEVEN YESTERDAY MORNING FOUR MILES EAST OF NORTON, ACCORDING TO THE KANSAS HIGHWAY PATROL REPORT.  KINDALL WAS WEARING HER SEAT BELT, ACCORDING TO THE REPORT.
