AN ALMENA MAN HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH SEVERAL DRUG RELATED CHARGES IN NORTON COUNTY MAGISTRATE COURT.  KENNETH COMPTON HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH TWO COUNTS OF DISTRIBUTING MARIJUANA WITHIN 1000 FEET OF A SCHOOL IN CONNECTION WITH ALLEGED INCIDENTS ON JUNE FIRST AND FOURTH.  HE WAS ALSO CHARGED WITH TWO COUNTS UNLAWFUL USE OF A COMMUNICATION FACILITY, LEVEL EIGHT NON PERSON FELONIES ALLEGEDLY OCCURRED ON JUNE FIRST AND 4TH AND TWO COUNTS OF NO DRUG TAX STAMP, CLASS A MISDEMEANORS, IN CONNECTION WITH ALLEGED INCIDENTS ON JUNE FOURTH.  COMPTON MADE HIS FIRST APPEARANCE JUNE 7TH.  HIS PRELIMINARY HEARING WAS SET FOR LAST TUESDAY, BUT HAS BEEN CONTINUED TO A LATER DATE, ACCORDING TO MAGISTRATE JUDGE DEBRA ANDERSON.  HE WAS RELEASED ON 100 THOUSAND DOLLARS BOND.
