Fireworks Change

Due to obvious extreme weather conditions, the decision has been made to cancel the Fireworks Show at Prairie Dog State Park on the 4th of July. We all appreciate a good fireworks show, but we certainly appreciate the safety of our friends and family even more. Thank you to the supporters of the fireworks, and details about any future possible shows will be announced as soon as we know more. Weather conditions are such a powerful influence on these types of events, and we are at Mother Nature’s mercy!

On a positive note, many events WILL still be held at the lake on Wednesday. Here is the schedule of events:

9:00am – 5K Run

11:00am – Kids Games

11:30-1:30 and 5:00-7:00 – Hamburger Feed

8:00 – Watermelon Feed

8:30 – Flag Ceremony

7:30-dark – Tim Anthony and the Anamals Concert

Independence Day is about celebrating our lives, our country, and our freedom. Celebrating with your friends and neighbors is a great way to do that! We hope you will join us at Prairie Dog State Park for a day of fun and celebration! Thank you for your understanding.
