AN INMATE OF THE NORTON CORRECTIONAL FACILITY WAS SENTENCED FOR A TRAFFIC IN CHARGE IN NORTON COUNTY DISTRICT COURT.  THOMAS ANDREW WILHITE WAS CHARGED WITH ONE COUNT EACH OF TRAFFIC IN A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, TRAFFIC IN CONTRABAND-TOBACCO, AND POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE.  THOSE CHARGES ARE IN CONNECTION WITH AN ALLEGED OCTOBER 9TH INCIDENT.  WILHITE PLED GUILTY TO THE TRAFFIC IN CHARGE AND THE POSSESSION CHARGE WAS DISMISSED.  HE WAS SENTENCED TO 25 MONTHS WITH THE KANSAS DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS TO BE SERVED CONSECUTIVELY WITH HIS SENTENCE FROM POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY OF 72 MONTHS IN PRISON.  HE WAS ASSESSED A KBI LAB FEE OF 400, COURT COSTS OF 195, BIDS APPLICATION FEE OF 100 AND A BOOKING FEE OF 45, ACCORDING TO NORTON COUNTY ATTORNEY DOUG SEBELIUS.  HE WAS EXCUSED FROM PAYING HIS COURT APPOINTED ATTORNEY FEES.
