THERE ARE ONLY A FEW SHORT DAYS LEFT TO READ BOOKS FOR THE 2012 SUMMER READING PROGRAM AT THE NORTON PUBLIC LIBRARY. THE DEADLINE TO HAVE THE BOOKS READ AND THE SHEETS TURNED BACK IN TO THE LIBRARY IS AUGUST 9TH. TOMORROW (THIS) MORNING AT 10:30 TRANDA WATTS, K-STATE EXTENSION SPECIALIST, WILL BE SHARING STORIES AND ACTIVITIES WITH BABIES THROUGH FIRST GRADERS. TOMORROW (THIS) AFTERNOON AT 2:00 SHE WILL ALSO SHARE STORIES AND ACTIVITIES WITH SECOND THROUGH SIXTH GRADERS. HER THEME FOR THE DAY IS “DREAMS AND STARS” AND THE CHILDREN WILL BE HELPING MAKE A “STAR SALAD” FOR A SNACK.
THE SUMMER READING PROGRAM WILL COME TO A CLOSE ON AUGUST 10. ALL COMPLETED READING RECORDS NEED TO BE TURNED INTO THE LIBRARY STAFF BY AUGUST 9. THE DRAWING FOR THE BICYCLES AND DESTINATION KITCHEN GIFT CERTIFICATE WILL BE HELD ON AUGUST 10. GREAT ACTIVITIES CONTINUE THIS WEEK AT THE NORTON PUBLIC LIBRARY.
