A NORTON MAN WILL BE ON HOUSE ARREST FOR HIS SECOND DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE CHARGE FROM NORTON MUNICIPAL COURT.  BRETT THOMSON WAS CHARGED WITH SECOND OFFENSE D.U.I., EXHIBITION OF ACCELERATION, AND LEFT OF CENTER IN CONNECTION WITH AN ALLEGED JULY 15TH INCIDENT.  HE PLED NO CONTEST AND WAS FOUND GUILTY.  THOMSON WAS SENTENCED TO SIX MONTHS HOUSE ARREST WITH A MONITORING DEVICE COSTING 360 DOLLARS PER MONTH.  HE WAS TO SERVE 48 HOURS IN THE COUNTY JAIL.  THOMSON WILL BE ON SIX MONTHS PROBATION AFTER THE HOUSE ARREST.  HE WAS FINED 1,250 DOLLARS FOR THE DUI CHARGE, 100 DOLLARS FOR THE ACCELERATION CHARGE AND 60 FOR THE LEFT OF CENTER CHARGE, PLUS 76 DOLLARS IN COURT COSTS.  THOMSON WAS ORDERED TO AN IGNITION INTERLOCK DEVICE FOR ONE YEAR, ACCORDING TO MUNICIPAL JUDGE JERRY HAWKS.
