THE KANSAS HIGHWAY PATROL INVESTIGATED A TWO VEHICLE ACCIDENT THURSDAY IN PHILLIPSBURG.  A 2005 PONTIAC, DRIVEN BY ALFRED HENKE OF COLORADO SPRINGS WAS EASTBOUND ON HIGHWAY 36.  A 1996 DODGE CARAVAN, DRIVEN BY RHONDA GIBSON OF KIRWIN WAS ALSO EASTBOUND AND SLOWED TO MAKE A LEFT TURN ONTO SIXTH STREET.  THE CARAVAN WAS STRUCK FROM BEHIND BY THE PONTIAC.  BOTH VEHICLES CAME TO REST IN THE EASTBOUND LANES OF U.S. 36 FACING WEST.  BOTH DRIVERS WERE WEARING THEIR SEAT BELTS AND TAKEN TO THE PHILLIPS COUNTY HOSPITAL.  THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED AT 1:56 THURSDAY AFTERNOON ON U.S. 36 IN AGRA, ACCORDING TO THE KANSAS HIGHWAY PATROL REPORT.
