AN ALMENA MAN WILL BE SENTENCED AT THE OCTOBER MOTION DAY FOR SEVERAL CHARGES FROM NORTON COUNTY DISTRICT COURT.  KENNETH COMPTON WAS ORIGINALLY CHARGED WITH TWO COUNTS OF DISTRIBUTING MARIJUANA WITHIN 1000 FEET OF A SCHOOL IN CONNECTION WITH ALLEGED INCIDENTS ON JUNE FIRST AND FOURTH.  HE WAS ALSO CHARGED WITH TWO COUNTS UNLAWFUL USE OF A COMMUNICATION FACILITY, LEVEL EIGHT NON PERSON FELONIES ALLEGEDLY OCCURRED ON JUNE FIRST AND 4TH AND TWO COUNTS OF NO DRUG TAX STAMP, CLASS A MISDEMEANORS, IN CONNECTION WITH ALLEGED INCIDENTS ON JUNE FOURTH.  COMPTON PLED GUILTY TO TWO COUNTS OF FELONY POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, LEVEL FOUR DRUG FELONIES. AND ONE COUNT OF  UNLAWFUL USE OF A COMMUNICATION FACILITY, LEVEL EIGHT NON PERSON FELONY.  THE OTHER CHARGES WERE DISMISSED.  A PRE-SENTENCE REPORT AND CRIMINAL HISTORY WILL BE DONE.  COMPTON WILL BE SENTENCED AT THE OCTOBER 15TH MOTION DAY, ACCORDING TO NORTON COUNTY ATTORNEY DOUG SEBELIUS.
