AN INMATE OF THE NORTON CORRECTIONAL FACILITY WILL SERVE LONGER IN PRISON FOR A CHARGE FROM NORTON COUNTY DISTRICT COURT.  MICHAEL STEVEN LEEPER WAS CHARGED WITH ONE COUNT EACH OF TRAFFIC IN A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, TRAFFIC IN CONTRABAND-TOBACCO,  AND POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE.  THOSE CHARGES ARE IN CONNECTION WITH AN ALLEGED OCTOBER 9TH INCIDENT.  IN A PLEA AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY ATTORNEY’S OFFICE. LEEPER PLED TO ONE COUNT OF INTERFERENCE WITH THE JUDICIAL PROCESS, A LEVEL 8 NON PERSON FELONY.  HE WAS SENTENCED TO 15 MONTHS TO BE ADDED TO HIS CURRENT SENTENCE.  HEW AS ASSESSED COURT COSTS OF 195, BOOKING FEE OF 45 AND A BIDS APPLICATION FEE OF 100, ACCORDING TO NORTON COUNTY ATTORNEY DOUG SEBELIUS.
