AN ALMENA MAN WAS SENTENCED FOR A PLEA AGREEMENT IN NORTON COUNTY DISTRICT COURT.  KENNETH COMPTON PLED GUILTY TO TWO COUNTS OF FELONY POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, AND ONE COUNT OF  UNLAWFUL USE OF A COMMUNICATION FACILITY.  THE OTHER CHARGES WERE DISMISSED.   HE WAS SENTENCED TO 11 MONTHS WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS ON EACH OF THE MARIJUANA CHARGES AND 8 MONTHS WITH THE DEPARTMENT ON THE COMMUNICATION CHARGE.  THAT TERM WAS SUSPENDED AND HE WAS PLACED ON COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS FOR 18 MONTHS WITH 12 MONTHS OF POST RELEASE SUPERVISION.  HE WAS ORDERED TO MANDATORY DRUG TREATMENT THAT COULD LAST UP TO 18 MONTHS.  COMPTON MUST FOLLOW THE REQUIREMENTS OF COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS OR COULD FACE UP TO 60 DAYS IN THE COUNTY JAIL.  HE WAS ASSESSED A KBI LAB FEE OF 400, SUPERVISION FEE OF 300, DNA DATABASE FEE OF 200, COURT COSTS OF 195, BOOKING FEE OF 45 AND WITNESS FEES OF 23.20, ACCORDING TO NORTON COUNTY ATTORNEY DOUG SEBELIUS.
