Sheriff Accident

THE NORTON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE INVESTIGATED A ONE VEHICLE DEER HIT ACCIDENT EARLIER THIS (LAST) WEEK THAT WAS DONE EARLIER.  A 2000 DODGE INTREPID WAS FOUND IN A DRIVEWAY BETWEEN ROADS E-12 AND E-13.  THE VEHICLE HAD DAMAGE TO THE FRONT.  WHEN THE OWNER WAS CONTACTED, KYLIE QUINTANA STATED THAT SHE HAD HIT A DEER ON NOVEMBER 9TH AS SHE WAS DRIVING WESTBOUND ON HIGHWAY 383.  SHE STATED SHE DID NOT KNOW THE ACCIDENT NEEDED TO BE REPORTED.  THE VEHICLE HAD EXPIRED TAGS THAT EXPIRED IN SEPTEMBER.  A CITATION WAS ISSUED FOR FAILURE TO REPORT AN ACCIDENT AND ALSO EXPIRED TAGS.  QUINTANA WAS ALSO GIVEN A CITATION BY THE NORTON POLICE DEPARTMENT ON NOVEMBER FIFTH FOR EXPIRED TAGS, ACCORDING TO THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE REPORT.
