Airport Board Notes

THE UPDATE ON THE LIGHT PROJECT AND THE RUNWAY PROJECT WERE ITEMS FOR THE NORTON CITY COUNTY AIRPORT BOARD MONDAY NIGHT.  THE BEACON IS WORKING AND CAN BE SEEN FOR MILES.  THE LIGHTS ARE NOT YET COMMISSIONED THROUGH THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION.  THE RUNWAY PROJECT IS NOW COMPLETE AS WELL.  THE FUELING STATION IS IN AND HAS HAD SOME FUEL PUMPED OUT OF IT.  THE INSTALLATION WAS CERTIFIED LAST MONTH.  THE INSURANCE THROUGH HARDY AVIATION WILL BE INCREASING WITH THE FUELING STATION.  LOCAL USERS WHO WANT TO BE BILLED FOR THE FUEL WILL BE ISSUED A FUEL KEY PROVIDED THEIR CREDIT APPLICATION IS ON FILE.  DELVIS MILLER WILL BE PURCHASING ANOTHER LOAD OF AV GAS FOR THE AIRPORT AND THE BOARD WILL REIMBURSE HIM FOR THAT PURCHASE.   THE PRICE OF THE FUEL WAS ALSO ADDRESSED.  THE SIGNAGE FOR THE PUMPS WAS DISCUSSED.  THE CONTACT INFORMATION WILL LIST THE CONTACT AT THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE AND THEY WILL HAVE THE NUMBERS FOR DELVIS MILLER AND SANDY SMITH AS CONTACTS THERE.  MOST OF THE OTHER SIGNS ARE ALREADY IN PLACE.  THE CREDIT APPLICATION FOR THE NORTON CITY COUNTY AIRPORT HAS BEEN MAILED.  THE STATE SALES TAX APPLICATION HAS ALSO BEEN FILLED OUT AND MAILED.  THE INVOICING FOR THE ECHO ACCOUNT HAS BEEN DONE.  JOHN MILLER AND CAROLYN APPLEGATE WILL BE DONE WITH THEIR TERMS AS COMMISSIONERS AND ON THE AIRPORT BOARD IN JANUARY.  BUD POSSON AND DOCTOR PETERSON WILL BE TAKING THEIR PLACES IN JANUARY.  THE BOARD APPROVED THE MARK UP FOR THE FUEL AT 15 PER CENT.  THE CREDIT CARD LIMIT WILL BE SET AT ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS PER USER INSTEAD OF 500 DOLLARS.  THE BILLS WERE APPROVED. THE BOARD ALSO ADDRESSED THE BANK ACCOUNT BALANCE UNTIL THE CITY AND COUNTY TAX SHARES COME IN IN MARCH OR APRIL.  THE NEXT MEETING OF THE NORTON CITY COUNTY AIRPORT BOARD WILL BE MONDAY JANUARY 14TH AT 5:30 IN THE AIRPORT OFFICE.  ALL MEETINGS ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
