Resilience: A Prescription for Managing Stress is a free health program at Golden Age Center, 105 W. Maple Street in Oberlin, on Wednesday, November 5 at 3 p.m.
The program was developed to help those dealing with stress, including stress brought on by chronic illness. The presentation is part of a free monthly health and wellness series offered by Golden Age Center via interactive televideo (ITV) and will feature Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Cathy Pendleton. The programs are available through Decatur Health Systems’ membership in the Midwest Cancer Alliance (MCA), the outreach arm of The University of Kansas Cancer Center. Pendleton, a facilitator with Turning Point: The Center for Hope & Healing, will focus on 10 aspects of resilience that can help manage stress.
The monthly wellness programs are open to the public and anyone coping with stress and anxiety is encouraged to attend.
